Janette Edmonds

Position: Chartered Ergonomics & Human Factors Specialist

Janette provides expertise across the broad spectrum of human factors, but specialises in engineering and design, human reliability, and procedure development. She has experience in chemical processing, oil and gas, transport, manufacturing, emergency services, and other applications. She is the course director for the IChemE Human Factors programme.

Janette has a BSc(Hons) in psychology and an MSc in ergonomics. She is a Chartered Ergonomics and Human Factors Specialist (CErgHF), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (FCIEHF) and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH). In 1999 she gained the William F Floyd Award for an outstanding contribution to ergonomics.
