Gap Analysis helps an organisation identify the extent to which core safety behaviours are being demonstrated consistently at all levels. The output is a targeted improvement action plan. We can either train in-house specialists to plan and execute gap analysis independently or deliver the programme ourselves. We also provide a series of tools and techniques to facilitate data gathering and analysis.
The Keil Centre has developed a three-day training course for in-house facilitators (Training for Facilitators or T4F) of Gap Analysis. Alternatively, in-house capability can be developed by ‘shadowing’ the Keil Centre consultants as we plan and execute a Gap Analysis programme. Gap Analysis involves management, supervisors and members of the workforce rating the frequency with which core behaviours are demonstrated. They then select which ones, if improved, would make the biggest difference to safety performance, allowing practical actions to be identified.
