Christian is a Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors Specialist and an experienced human performance trainer based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

After moving to Scotland in 2016, he provided human factors advice for nuclear decommissioning in the North of Scotland.

Previously he has worked in manufacturing and tunnel construction, and spent a significant amount of his professional career in airport operations in Switzerland. Christian served as the vice chair for the UK safety directors human performance forum where he facilitated discussions around various aspects of human work.

He regularly provides talks highlighting the importance of psychological safety to human performance. His specialist interest is complex systems and understanding how diversity can increase resilience and lead to better decision making.

Christian holds a BSc in Aviation and a MSc in Safety and Human Factors from Cranfield University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, SwissErgo (Swiss Association for Ergonomics), the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS) and is an associate member of the Nuclear Institute.
